About

John is a member of CAMM. He has developed an all-inclusive, MATLAB-based image processing/3D reconstruction package.  Such a package is a capable of manipulating serially collected 2D data from its raw state into a 3D reconstructed volume all within one package.  The software has been employed to align, segment, reconstruct, and quantify a number of microstructures from a variety of materials, most commonly titanium alloys.  The software package has been employed for the successful advanced segmentation of over 30 different microstructures of various materials including titanium, nickel-based superalloys, bulk metallic glass, steel, collagen fibers, and bacteria.
