Narui, Yoshie

Biography

Dr. Yoshie Narui joined the CEMAS staff in October of 2018 after spending four years as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Ohio State University (Dept. of Chemistry & Biochemistry) in the lab of Prof. Marcos Sotomayor where she received training in a wide range of research areas including molecular biology, protein expression, x-ray crystallography, and molecular dynamics simulations. Previously, she earned her Ph.D. in Biomolecular Chemistry at Emory University and her Masters in Chemistry from Caltech. She is a proud alumna of the Ohio State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 2003.

As a Cryo-EM senior researcher at CEMAS, Yoshie assists in the operation and maintenance of our two cryo-electron microscopes and relevant support equipment. She assists users with all aspects of the Cryo-EM workflow from negative staining to data analysis.
