Calvin is a member of Professor Hamish Fraser's research group. He earned his Material Science and Engineering MS Degree in 2017 from the University of North Texas, where he researched laser additive manufacturing of magnetic metallic materials. In 2016, he was awarded an NSF EAPSI fellowship where he conducted research for two months at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Presently, he is researching for his Ph.D.  as a member of CAMM under the direction of Dr. Hamish Fraser. Calvin is a recipient of the ASEE SMART Scholarship and will be working with AFRL/RX at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH. He will continue his research on laser additive manufacturing and powder processing of metallic materials beyond the current catalog of alloy systems.
