CEMAS global impact

The Center for Electron Microscopy and Analysis has established a strong, collaborative network with academic and research institutions around the world. CEMAS' relationships have results in a number of visiting scholar exchanges between students, faculty, and research staff worldwide.

Dr. David McComb, the founding Director, maintains a powerful collaboration with Imperial College London. David is involved in lecturing both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and has hosted numerous Imperial visiting scholars at CEMAS.

Dr. Hamish Fraser maintains countless global collaborations, from North America to Australia. In 2014, Hamish was recognized as an Honorary Professor by the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. Hamish has hosted numerous visiting scholars from Brazil, Australia, Germany, and beyond.

In October 2015, CEMAS announced the international microscopy collaboration with Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, located in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
