Session Description:
A microscope has become an icon for science. It has played an essential role in scientific discoveries, especially for life science research. Although light microscopy has a lower resolution than electron microscopy, it has unique advantages, such as specific labeling, spatiotemporal analysis for live samples, and quantitative analysis. In this talk, I will review some challenges and current solutions for novel light microscopy, especially the super resolution microscopy and methods.
