TRANSMISSION ELECTRON MICROSCOPY (TEM)
TRANSMISSION ELECTRON MICROSCOPY (TEM)
CEMAS houses six TEM/STEM microscopes. There are two aberration-corrected TEM/STEM systems - a Themis Z optimized for sub-Angstrom spatial resolution imaging and analysis, and a Titan 60-300 optimized for the investigation of soft and bio-materials with both high-resolution imaging and the ultimate in chemical analysis capabilities. There are two cryo microscopes. The Krios cryoTEM has direct electron detectors, spectrum imaging and tomography while the Glacios includes microED capabilities. CEMAS also has a Tecnai F20 analytical FEG TEM/STEM optimized for EDX and EELS, and a Tecnai 30 300kV TEM/STEM optimized for crystallographic imaging.
