How do I request a storage account?
Once you have been trained on the equipment at CEMAS, the Instrument Trainer may request an Instrument folder on your behalf, or you may request one yourself. This folder will be accessible by you to save your data on the microscope computers.
Instrument folders are requested by submitting a ticket to Engineering Technology Services (ETS) at https://ets.osu.edu. Click the ETS Service Portal menu link, click the Click to Login link, click the Request a Service button, click the Accounts & Access link, and click the Other link. You may then request a CEMAS Instrument File Server folder. An ETS representative will be in contact to assist you with the account set-up.
How do I access my data?
Users may access their instrument data by visiting the website data.cemas.us. This site provides a user-friendly web-interface for accessing and downloading instrument data and is accessible from any modern web-browser both inside and outside of CEMAS.
To download to your computer:
1. Go to data.cemas.us
2. Login with your provided credentials
(Contact ETShelp@osu.edu to have credentials created or reset.)
3. Download via web interface
Again, CEMAS is not responsible for long-term maintenance or retention of data stored, and users are encouraged to retrieve their data immediately following their instrument session, save it elsewhere, and promtly remove it from the CEMAS Instrument folder.
